About this campaign

It was my first week of law school back in 2016, and I decided to volunteer at my local animal rescue. Little did I know that day, I would be meeting my best friend. Roscoe is my rescue pit mix. I jokingly call him “my shadow,” because everywhere I am, he’s always right next to me. Roscoe is my comfort, my rock, and truly my best friend. I can’t imagine life without him.

Roscoe is truly a “big baby.” I live alone, and Roscoe is all I have. He sits with me while I work and study. His favorite times of the day are walk time and snack time, and he’s never shy to demand belly rubs. He will give you his paw (literally) to hold when you’re feeling sad or stressed. His happy smile and wagging tail bring me joy every single day.

I just from graduated school this past year, and I live alone and do not have any financial help. I don’t have extra money saved and live on a fixed income, and don’t have anyone to ask for help. Roscoe is my ESA, he has helped me through such hard times and is all I have.

Last week, Roscoe physically collapsed at home. He was rushed to the ER, where I was given the devastating news that Roscoe has a massive tumor around his heart. We are seeing an oncologist at VCA Carlsbad who is discussing radiation treatment options. Roscoe is truly my rock and my best friend, and I want to do everything I can for him.

Roscoe LOVES the word walk. He will sprint off the couch like a football player, tail in propeller motion, every time he hears it. He loves to people watch, and one of our favorite activities is sitting on the balcony and watching the people walking by (which is all fun and games until the mail truck arrives, which Roscoe has to be a little dramatic over). He loves to chew his sticks as well!
