My sister found Roscoe in the street back in May, days after my dear cat passed, as he was making his way down an embankment to drink from a runoff creek. My dad got him home after getting checked for a chip and my partner adopted him.We don't know what his life was like before us, but it wasn't good. It seemed he'd never been on grass, and going inside a house for the first time was an adventure.

He's the biggest lump of a dog ever, and 22 hours a day he wants to cuddle with you and nap. He has a bed next to ours, but frequently sneaks up during the night to be held. The other two hours a day he could play tug until your arms fell off and still not be done. He's also a talker. He'll grumble and grunt and whine and cry to get your attention so he can tell you what he needs.

He has the remarkable ability to put you to sleep, even when you aren't tired. He'll play tug for hours and then lay down for a nap, and put you both out. He had to be taught how to go up and down stairs when he got to go in a house for the first time, and he still looks a little funny going down. Sometimes he ends up sliding down the last few because he gets going so fast.

He's currently at Care Center in Centerville Ohio. He has some sort of blockage.
We've been trying very hard to train an adult dog with no previous known training, but he still eats things he shouldn't. His favorites are socks, clean or dirty, and that's probably what caused this whole mess
