About this campaign
Rosemary is a senior Chihuahua who was found wandering, weak and emaciated, with a massive, ulcerated mammary tumor hanging painfully beneath her. She was barely able to walk, likely due to both the weight of the tumor and possible neurological issues.
Her teeth were in severe condition—many already missing or decaying—and she was dangerously anemic and malnourished. She underwent emergency surgery to remove multiple mammary tumors, was spayed, and received a major dental, with most of her teeth extracted.
The biopsy results are pending to determine if the tumors are cancerous. RBARI says how incredibly sweet and friendly she is despite being in a life-threatening condition.
Now safe and recovering in comfort and love, Rosemary is eating well and resting peacefully.
She will be evaluated for adoption after her stray hold ends. Rosemary was painfully neglected but is now surrounded by love and care. Will you please join us in her healing journey? Every donation makes a difference. Thank you!
Update 8/8/25
Rosemary had surgery to remove multiple tumors. Two were benign, but the largest was cancerous. There’s no sign of spread — and for now, she’s recovering beautifully and hoping for a home to call her own.
