I've had Rosie for 4 years. She is estimated to be around 12 or 13 - no way to know for sure as she was found on the street in MS and brought to the Humane Society in MN. She was so broken when I first adopted her, but I knew that I would do whatever it took to make sure she knew she was loved and cared for. Rosie came to me deaf and and with severe cataracts making it only possible to see out of her right eye. My biggest fear was for Rosie to be blind and deaf - which has now come true. Unfortunately, even though I take her to vet often and she is well cared for, her high blood pressure went undetected until her right eye had two ruptures (not the medical term) as a result of her high blood pressure. The eye vet tried so hard to save her only good eye, but it was too late. Rosie's favorite past time was to be outside, taking long walks while sniffing everything in sight. Now Rosie cannot see at and her heart is breaking. She is already deaf so I am sure she is confused, sad, and depressed - I know she is all of these because I can tell by her actions and it's heartbreaking.
