About this campaign
Rosie is a happy senior girl of 9 years old. She is an American Bulldog mix that was adopted from the JHS in Jax, Fl in 1/21. Rosie is the only dog in my home that is friends to many of many feline friends. Her name cam to be because she reminds me of Rose from the Golden Girls and it fits her personality perfectly.
Rosie spends the vast majority of her day sleeping on the screen porch in her big comfy chair with just the right amount of sun glistening off her face. When I get home from work Rosie is always excited to see me. She knows as soon as i walk in and turn the lights and tv on that its go time. What I mean is her walk to the mailbox. I have a long driveway and that's what she lives for everyday.
Rosie is the third dog that I have had in my life. I have always been a cat person and will always be one, but a dog, there's nothing like it. They are so happy to see you and just be with you everyday. Rosie is a talker! If she is not getting the attention she wants at the exact time she wants it she will moan and groan until she gets what she wants. Usually it's just to be scratched.
Rosie was diagnosed with oral mandibular osteosarcoma a month after I adopted her in 2/21. The JHS was able to perform a bilateral rostral mandibulectomy to remove the cancer. Unfortunately exactly a year later it has returned with a vengeance. Surgery is not an option this time. I took her to an Oncologist and palliative radiation therapy is her only course of treatment in order to live.
I am a single one person income taking care of myself and my animals. Unfortunately, I don't have the emergency funds for a cancer treatment for my dog. My credit is extended and i cannot afford to incur anymore debt, even though my dog is worth everything to me.
