Rosie is a 9-year-old dachshund Dog in East Jordan, MI, who needs $600 for Dental Extraction and Cleaning.

Rosie is 9 years old, and I have had her since she was two. She was a pup in a hoarding situation in Metro Detroit, and we were able to take her in from Gabe's Gang Rescue and love on her and treat her how pups are supposed to be treated. She, in return, has given us unconditional love and snuggles every day. She loves cuddling with her brother, Harley, our 13 year old doxie who is also a rescue.

Rosie loves to go for walks almost as much as she loves napping with her Momma. Anywhere her Momma goes, Rosie needs to be there too. She is my emotional support animal and knows when I get upset, or when I just need to cuddle her. She is really good at reading my emotions. I want to be able to take care of her the way she deserves to be taken care of.

Since Rosie was a rescue from a hoarding situation with 14 other doxies, she is very shy and timid of strangers. She seems to be most afraid of men, but if a woman comes over, she is still shy, but will warm up to them by sitting behind the chair where the stranger sits. Then the stranger give Rosie her favorite treat (baby carrots), and she has a new friend for life.

Rosie has been very healthy since we got her. She hasn't needed anything more than the usual preventative checkups, shots, and cleanings. She is a little overweight, but now that the weather is nice, she and I can go on walks together to improve our weight. Rosie LOVES her walks, and will sometimes dash out of the door before I am ready for her to.

We live paycheck to paycheck and can contribute some from our next paychecks, but not enough for the full amount before Rosie's procedure on May 13. We don't qualify for Care Credit or Scratch Pay.
