About this campaign

Rosie is a rescue chihuahua. She was rescued by my grandparents and when they passed away 5 years ago I adopted her. She is very sweet and loves people. She has touched the hearts of everyone that has had the opportunity to get to know her. Rosie’s is playful...She loves car rides, kayaking, hiking, bike rides, and playing with her toys.

Rosie lives in Florida where she grew up. She lives with her best friend (cat named Bobby) and my roommates in an apartment. She is incredibly loving and requires a lot of human contact. She is a traveler but loves to be a lap dog at home as well. She loves her walks around the lake and interacting with other dogs.

The vet bill is currently at $11,000 and going up. I am a teacher and do not make enough money to cover the costs. My rent is high and I am unable to get a second job because of the restaurants etc. being closed for coronavirus. She is my whole world and I live for her!

Rosie was gasping for air and her body was convulsing after some stairs. I rushed her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis. She was taken into the operating room for the required surgical procedure. The first surgery did not go well and her cartilage broke. Therefore she had to have another surgery. She now has to be on oxygen for a few days and has aspiration pneumonia.

Rosie is a Foodie ! She loves to eat ! She most definitely loves her treats. She is a squeaker. Rosie does not bark and instead makes cute little squeaky noises when she is trying to tell us something. Rosie loves to take naps but has a lot of energy and plays like a puppy still. She has lots of toys to play with.
