Rowena is a 6 year old German Shepherd Dog in austinville, VA, who needs $1,250 for Open Pyometra.

Rowena is my 6 year old GSD. she was given to me by a breeder friend after i lost my heart horse and heart GSD within 2 days of each other back in 2018. I literally saw Rowena's conception to birth and daily pics of her at the breeder. She has been very healthy her whole life. She is the happiest, most happy go lucky GSD I have ever met.

Rowena just came out of season late last week. On Saturday 10/5/24 we noticed a large volume of blood on the couch. We immediatly rushed her to town & Country vet in Christiansburg, VA and she was diagnosed with the very early stages of an open pyrometra and an immediate spay was needed. We of course had to do it to save her life.

Rowena is such a happy dog. she loves to snuggle and kiss you. She loves her half sister Nova (1.5 month younger. same dad) as well as her husky brother Loki. She loves to wrestle and play with them. she loves to watch the deer in our front yard that wander through as well as the horses in thier pasture.

My husband is retired and I am the only one working. We not only support our family but we also have to pay for my mother in laws assisted living. i had to borrow $1200 out of that money to pay for Rowena's surgery.
