About this campaign
The first time we saw Roxi was online when she was 6 weeks old. We immediately fell in love and knew that we had to have her. My young son and I drove 5 hours to pick her up when she was 8 weeks old. Our elder dog, Koda, took Roxi right in as his little sister. From the start Roxi had a special place in our hearts. She is smart, loving, and beautiful. She has always protected us with fierce love.
Roxi loves to play outside with her little sister, Raven, now. She enjoys hiking with us and spending time running on the beach. Roxi loves to sleep in our bed with us and cuddle as much as possible. She runs to the window and then to the door each time someone comes home to greet them with a big smile, snuggles & pure joy.
Roxi loves to greet other dogs when she goes on walks Ever since her little sister, Raven, came into our lives Roxi is the big protector and ensures that she goes ahead to make sure everything is safe. Roxi loves to play catch and will bring the Frisbee or ball back every time just for you to throw it again and again. She never tires of playing or running free with her favorite people around.
Roxi has always been in excellent health which helped her stay so active. Recently she started to walk with a limp and we thought she hurt her ankle from running around. Instead we were blindsided by the devastating news that she has bone cancer. Dr. Fayette at Piper Veterinary told us our options are to amputate or euthanize. The later is incomprehensible to us as Roxi is so full of life.
The expense needed for the amputation/cancer treatments came at the worse time. We are on a fixed income as my husband is retired, and we recently had to use our savings plus take a loan to replace our roof & furnace. We want to give Roxi her life back so she can run free.
