Roxie is a 7 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Bellflower, CA, who needs $2,000 for Extracapsular Repair.

Roxie was a gift and we have been together since she was six weeks old. Now is 7 she will be 8 on November 27th. We have been through a lot together and she was the gift I never knew I needed.

Roxie recently had an accident when she was getting in the car. She slipped and on the door frame and tore her ACL on her right hind leg . Although I have pet insurance for accidents. A torn ACL or ligament injury is the one injury that is NOT covered. I have appealed the insurance company's decision 3 times and they are not budging. Now Roxie can barely walk and she has to have surgery.

Roxie is special to me because we have been through a lot together. Recently my nephew moved with me, and he suffers from epilepsy and Roxie has become his emotional support dog. When he is having episodes Roxie won't leave his side. She also loves my grandkids and protects our home. It hurts to see her is so much pain. She loves to run and now she drags herself around the house.

I am retired and on a fixed income and with Roxie's skin condition as you can see in the pictures I can't afford the surgery and therapy for her. I have tried everything but I have no choice but surgery and I don't have the money
