About this campaign
Roxie and her twin were an anniversary gift from my husband. Shortly after we got them, I fell and was unable to walk and these two became my support babies. They slept on me and never left my side. For three weeks I was unable to walk on my own. They stayed with me, when I returned to work it was hard on them but they adjusted. They have been my constant guardian angels.
Roxie and her twin, Moxie, are the youngest of our indoor rescues. They were saved from being sold as puppy mills as they are both tiny females. We had 6 total females saved from the same fate. One recently passed due to pancreatitis caused by dog food. Roxie is very loving to her pack and is a caretaker of her sister. She is very attuned to the emotions of the humans in the house.
Roxie has been attached to me since day one. She is my kitty girl as she loves to sit on my shoulder more than anything else. Roxie is very protective of me and we call her my Velcro dog as she cannot stand being apart from me when I am home.
Roxie has been throwing up lately can cannot keep food down. She had very icky stool. I can only afford one X-ray and we are hopeful it will provide an answer to her illness. I pray that it is treatable. She is being treated at Circle L Animal Hospital.
I am a middle school teacher with a Master degree and my take home salary is $2000 a month. This barely makes ends meet as it is. Having recently lost Lily and having another dog who is now paraplegic, my financial situation is terrible.
