Roxie Grace Bundy-Baker is a five-year-old Dachshund in Austin, TX, who needs $1,300 for urgent surgery.

Marci B.'s life has been in financial and emotional turmoil. Now she and her darling dog, Roxie, could use some assistance.

"I lost my fiancé unexpectedly," Marci tells Waggle. "Roxie and I started over on our own. She and I have helped each other through the loss of my soulmate and her daddy."

Just when life started to return to the pair's new normal, lumps appeared on Roxie's body. Marci says they appeared nearly overnight. She rushed Roxie to Crossing Animal Clinic.

"At first, I thought she got bit by something or had an allergy," Marci says. "But they didn't go away. She has three different tumors. I need to have them removed and confirm they are not cancer. They are heavy and starting to get in the way of her going to the bathroom."

Marci is having difficulties paying for Roxie's much-needed surgery. She's been through some devastating times and is really hoping fellow pet lovers come to their rescue.

"After my fiancé died, I had to start all over," she says. "I had stepped away from my career to become his caretaker after a leg amputation and setbacks. I lost my car and credit. But I did the right thing for us being together. Then he unexpectedly passed away."

Roxie means the world to Marci, who helped get her through the terrible loss she suffered. "She is my support dog. She is loving and so much fun. She's spoiled rotten and a little spitfire."
