About this campaign

Roxy was part of a litter a friend of ours had and stole our hearts from day one. He lives in our house with two younger cats both of which he adores, he's the most affectionate cat I’ve ever known. Sadly, he has had some horrible luck with veterinary diagnoses in the past along with bad reactions to some cure all antibiotic shots he never should have gotten.

Roxy has been king of the house ever since Cody passed (and he recovered from the depression of losing him). He takes care of our two younger cats while always making sure to cuddle us every chance possible. He sleeps in bed with us and never leaves my side! Roxy loves to play and relax in the sun and on the patio! Has been healthy for years.

I currently live on a fixed income due to being disabled. My cats are truly my children and the only ones I am able to ever have so there is nothing in this world that matters more to me. I spend every moment of every day with them. Roxy needs your help!

Roxy had a urinary blockage last weekend and the first vet did not test blood on nor did they realize his kidney’s were shutting down, so he was sent home. By the time we realized the mistake two more days went by before getting him to Newtown Vet Specialists, where they used a catheter to unblock him and iv fluids to try to flush his system - it’s been a week and now they are talking dialysis.

Roxy has always been a sweetheart, granted slightly autistic. We’ve always thought he had been taken from his mother too early and so didn’t learn like all cats normally do from there mothers. My previous cat, Dakota, took over the role, but sadly after 22 yrs we lost Cody in 2012. Roxy could always make you smile - he purrs just from looking at him!! Happiest most loving member of our family !
