Roxy is a 10-year-old Pit Bull mix in Ridgeville, SC, who needs $950 for urgent tumor removal.

Jennifer L. and her husband, a combat veteran, have hearts of gold.

They rescue dogs who become their family members and get them medical care. They currently have five seniors they've saved. One of them, Roxy, needs urgent medical attention.

"She was seized from previous owners," Jennifer tells Waggle. "She came from a local shelter."

Roxy needs tumors on her mammary area and another on the side of her paw removed.

"The vet does possibly think it's cancerous on her mammary mass but won't know until the biopsy comes back," Jennifer says. "She also needs a dental done to remove teeth infected at the roots."

Jennifer and her husband can't afford Roxy's surgery.

"Our only income is VA disability that my husband receives," Jennifer says. "We just spent over $500 on household repairs caused by water damage to flooring and main door. My husband is in a wheelchair, and it had to be repaired as that's the only way he can get out."
