About this campaign

Hi! I rescued Roxy when she was 8 weeks old, and she has been the absolute best companion in the world. She loves to go on hikes and to the dog beach. At home, you can find her sunbathing in the window or playing with our cats.

Roxy lives with me, my daughter, two cats and a shepherd. For a while it was just me, Roxy and my daughter but her dad fell on hard times and I've taken in his pets. Roxy being so sweet, happily welcomed her new friends to the family! :)

Roxy has had a rough year! She had a ruptured cyst on her back, her anal gland flared up 2X and she and I were attached by a coyote on a walk. Despite these setbacks, she is the happiest dog and is loving life. Every morning she wakes me with a slobbery kiss and gives one of our cats a bath. When I arrive home, she parkours around the house in excitement ready to play and go on a walk.

Roxy was diagnosed with a malignant mesenchymal tumor. I’ve consulted with my vet (4Paws Animal Hospital) two surgeons (Dr. Jones, PetSurg/Dr. Frey, private practice) and spoke with an oncologist (Dr. Benz, VCA Animal Specialty) All advised that I should have the tumor removed. She also have Pancreatitis. I have already paid for an abdominal ultrasound, chest scans, blood work and consultation.

I am a single mother with zero support. Like everyone in this economy, times are hard. We have had back-to-back medical expenses from a broken collar bone to a coyote attack and now Roxy's cancer. I'm paying most of the expense but some support would be appreciated!
