Roxy is a 9-year-old Chihuahua Mix in Winter Springs, FL, who needs $2,000 for Meniscus Repair Surgery.

Roxy was a rescue pet from Humane society. We went to the shelter , looked at the small dog room and all the dogs were going crazy, except for one who was just lounging on a little cot, Roxy. We feel in love and took her home that day. Little did we know she was playing us cause she barks at EVERYTHING!!! Here I thought we were getting a quiet, laid back dog. Nope.

Roxy was my husbands buddy. He was very ill and receiving in home hospice care. She would sit with all day and night. Since he is gone now she is my buddy. Through breast cancer and knee replacements she has been my little companion. Roxy has a sister (not by blood) Chewy. Roxy likes to let Chewy think she is in charge but we all know the truth.

Roxy barks at everything. From a noise outside to a piece of paper falling to the ground. No body is getting into my house without Roxy knowing. She is the most loving and caring dog I have had, yet to a stranger tear them up. She is so patient for walks or for meal time. She favors pork over all other flavors.

Roxy thought she was the new Under Dog and took a leap off the top of the sofa only to tear her meniscus. She needs surgery to the tune of $2200. Right now she has been hopping around 3 legs and taking anti inflammatory and pain meds until we can get her surgery.

I have had medical expenses that were not all covered by insurance. Breast cancer and then 2 knee replacements and sinus surgery. Rent was raised $650 in 2 years we struggle to survive. Roxy is in pain and needs surgery. She can only walk on 3 legs.
