Ruby is a 6-year-old Chihuahua in Arroyo Grande, CA, who needs $350 for Trifecta.

Ruby came into my life as a rescue from a friend of mine. She weighed 1.3 pounds. I carried her around in an Easter basket for the first 6 months of her life and fell in love immediately. I named her ruby because she is a Chihuahua and "Ruby" means blonde in Spanish and she is blonde and brown. She is the love of my life.

Ruby has fun believing she's a pit bull with the cat. She weighs all of four pounds and the cat weighs 20 but she has him fooled. Ruby is very much a mommas girl and spoons me all night long. It's so cute, she wedges her little legs under my back and only moves when I do. She loves talking to strangers as often as possible

Ruby is a therapy dog. She knows when I'm sad or upset and will even lick my tears when I'm crying. She also makes me laugh with her silly little antics. Her favorite thing to do is to go bye bye where she rides down the road hanging out the window.

My issue is FLEAS. Ive tried everything that I can afford that are DIY cures all to no avail. I've lost a dog to fleas before. She was a Karin terrier with of alot of hair. When I bathed her , all that I would have is bloody water and l see that starting now. I need the seresto or some kind of prescription but can't get one without a Vet visit. There lies the problem. I can't afford a Vet.

Unfortunately I am on SSI and all of my income goes to California bills. I can't afford the $75 introductory rate for the first visit or the flea pill that I think she needs. Another problem is she only weighs 4 lbs so the pill has to be specific.
