Ruby is a 8-month-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Charlotte , NC, who needs $1,600 for Emergency Spay.

Ruby was one of 4 kittens my sister's cat Marilyn had back in January. She was the only gray kitten, the rest were all black. I knew I had to keep her! Ruby lives with me and my other 2 male black cats. She wants to be constantly loved and likes to dig in trash and scatter it all over the house. And, she loves to talk...loudly!

She and her dad (Rhys) and uncle(Jinx) are my everything. She cuddles with her dad and goes from person to person asking to be pet anytime someone comes to visit.

She has developed a jumping habit. She jumps into my chest and launches herself into me for me to hold her. Sometimes she jumps on top of my head. From my bed to my head when I sit at my vanity.

Ruby started throwing up Tuesday night. I took her to the vet yesterday and had $600 worth of test done. Vet believed it may be open pyometra. We decided to try medicine but she continued to be sick and not eat. I brought her back to the vet today and she is currently in emergency surgery to remove her infected uterus.

I just recently moved to Charlotte and just finished paying vet bill $1200 for Rhys that had a scratched cornea. My cats are my everything. I have had some health issues and am only able to work part time. I want to see Ruby back to her sweet healthy self.
