Ruby is a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog in Menominee, MI, who needs $6,000 for TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) Surgery.

I got Ruby when she was just 7 weeks old. 7 years later, she is still my baby and my best friend. I was going through a hard time in life when I went to see the puppies in town to "make my day a bit better". I never planned to leave with a dog, but the original owners said "she chose me", and she really did. We've been inseparable since.

Ruby tore her ACL while playing in our yard a couple of weeks ago. She has not been able to put weight on her leg since, and she is scheduled for TPLO surgery on September 9th at Bayshore Animal Hospital in Marquette, MI. It will be a 4 hour commute for us to receive this surgery!

Ruby is such a lover. She plays well with her two cat brothers, enjoys watching the wildlife in the yard and running around like a puppy with tons of energy. She loves to play fetch, swim, go for car rides and lick doggy peanut butter from her lick mat!
