Ruby is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Milton, FL, who needs $2,000 for Canine Parvo virus Monoclonal Antibody Treatment.

Ruby was born one of eleven litter mates! We brought her home with three of her siblings. It was evident from the start that she had plenty of sass as she "guided" and "directed" her brothers and sister, barking and howling her directions! We thought the color red suited her and the name Ruby was given . She is my sweet, strong, lovingly loyal girl.

Ruby got sick the morning of April 20th. She continued to vomit several times throughout the day. Sunday came with more of Ruby being sick every few hours, refusing food or water. On Monday I drove her to our vet office, Woodbine Animal Clinic. There were x-rays, blood work, infusions. Dr. Kane performed exploratory surgery on her G.I. tract and it was found that Ruby has Canine Parvo virus.

Ruby loves her brothers and sister, even if they do get on each other's nerves! She loves walks and chasing birds in our yard, digging holes and getting her knows dirty. She loves ALL treats, but her faves are apple with peanut butter and crunchy carrots. She blows bubbles when she drinks water and loves snuggling pillows and her humans. She greets us each day with a howl and a waggy tail.

Labs, x-rays, surgery, meds and hospitalization added up quickly. The monoclonal antibody treatment needed is costly. She will also stay in hospital for, at least, 3 days receiving antibiotics, hydration and pain meds. We love Ruby and can't imagine our lives without her!
