Ruby is a 8-year-old Labrador Retriever in Oakland, FL, who needs $1,800 for Mass Removal.

We got Ruby as a rescue in 2014. She’s been a big part of our family since we rescued her. We were in a military family so we lived all over the world. We have also had four other dogs that she loves. When my little sister was born Ruby treated her like an angel, and still does. She is an amazing dog.

She is a very relaxed dog. She loves to lie on our couch and hang out with the family. She likes to lay in the sun and relax. When she was a puppy she was very energetic and rambunctious. Many shoes were destroyed because of her but it was all worth it because she is now the best dog we could have ever asked for. She does amazing with kids. She’s never bitten anyone and has never growled.

She is very timid. Even flies scare her. One of her least favorite objects is the vacuum. Even when I walk to where the vacuum is she will run and hide in the bedroom. One thing that makes us laugh is her farts scare her. She will be laying down and she will fart and she will jump up so fast and run.

She has three fatty tumors that have swelled up. She has one on her leg that got cut open and is pouring blood out. We are trying to keep it under control but the only way to fix it is to remove the tumors. She desperately needs this.

Our financial situation is preventing us from treating Ruby. The vet is estimating that it will cost $2000 to treat Ruby. Our family is just getting out of a divorce and we don’t have the financial resources to fund her treatment.
