Ruby is a 9-year-old Chaweenie who lives with Shara, her devoted owner. They’ve been through homelessness and major loss together, but are now finally stable. Ruby has been a constant source of comfort and emotional support through every hardship.

Ruby has a sudden, severe eye emergency—her eye is swollen, red, and bulging, causing clear pain and discomfort . After 3 vet trips, we spent everything to get her tested, find out it's glaucoma, no tumors, but we need at least $1200 for the enucleation operation at the South San Jose Vet Clinic, and we can make payments for the rest of the amount.

Ruby is gentle, loyal, and deeply bonded to Shara. She senses emotions and stays close during hard moments. She was originally Shara’s mom’s dog, and after her mom passed from ALS, Ruby became her last living connection and emotional anchor.
