About this campaign
I got Ruby from my son's friend whose dog had a liter of puppies She was just 10 weeks old. She was born on September 6, 2013. I specifically chose the runt of the litter because I always felt a sense of sadness when I saw them being overlooked. Ruby got her name due to her beautiful red brindle coloring.
Ruby adores my son to bits. She can detect him even before catching a glimpse of him. That's the hound dog in her, always on the hunt. As soon as she spots him, she goes into as spinning frenzy around in circles and does this unique bark that is reserved solely for him. She's undeniably a quirky character, full of personality.
Ruby is the ideal dog for me. Every night, she sleeps beside me, snuggled under the blankets, and curls up against my legs. It's absolutely adorable. Her favorite activities is burying her bones and treats, which never fails to make me laugh. Whenever Ruby needs something, she comes up to me and gently paws at me, indicating whether she wants food, water, or needs to go outside.
She has recently experienced a significant weight loss and has been facing difficulties with her bowel movements. Concerned about her well-being, I reached out to a local veterinary hospital to inquire about the cost of a thorough examination and potential diagnosis. The initial visit fee is estimated at $74.00, while the expenses for blood work and laboratory could be up to$300.
2021 brought about unforeseen financial difficulties due to the pandemic, particularly impacting my income as a housekeeper. Despite these challenges, I made the difficult decision to utilize my entire savings of $1000 to ensure her tumor removal.
