About this campaign
Rudy was adopted at 5 weeks old along with his sister. He currently resides with his 5 adopted brothers and his doggy sister in Fort Worth Texas. He's an extremely sweet boy who just wants to be a lap kitty and lay in the sun.
On 1/10, Rudy ate pain medication prescribed to the dog. Initial blood test and follow up at VEG Fort Worth showed slight elevation. He was sent home with meds. On Tuesday 1/13, Rudy stopped eating. He was rushed back to the ER and his levels are now critical for kidney injury due to toxins. The ER vet said he needs to see a specialist at North Dallas Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital.
Rudy is the big brother of his family. He's the cuddler, groomer, and nap buddy to all 5 of his little brothers. He loves to sit on laps and get head scratches from his mom.
Rudy's dialysis can cost between $10K-$15K. He has insurance but we don't know if they'll be able to cover the cost up front. He needs to be seen immediately before his kidneys start shutting down.
