About this campaign

I adopted my two rescue dogs, Rue and her sister Harley, last April. They were found on the streets of Alabama together. They are best friends- they are extremely bonded and hate to be apart from each other. They have both changed my life so much for the better since they arrived. Rue is sort of the polar opposite to her sister as far as personality- she is very calm, content to nap all day and is a great snuggler! She loves the dog park but not so much to play with other dogs than as to be petted by all the other dog owners :) She always stays close to me whenever we’re out somewhere so I don’t have to worry. She loves to eat! All food however now she’s unable to eat any of the “good” stuff due to her medical issues. Her favorites were donuts, hot dogs, cheese and greenies. She has struggled since I’ve had her with kennel cough, pneumonia, nearly lost her life when she was spayed (now we know this was due to the liver shunt), low energy/fatigue and bladder issues- it took a long time and a trip to the specialist to finally diagnose her with several large bladder stones in need of surgical removal and a liver shunt (which caused stones) which requires CT to confirm location and then surgery to correct it.
