Ruffus is a 8-year-old Tabby Cat in Altoona, PA, who needs $150 for Diabetes Treatment.

Ruffus was a gift from a friend. About the second year I had him, I took him to the vet and found out he was diabetic. 11 16 22 The doctor instructed me on how to measure the .vetsulinand give him the injections. I need to give him 2 injections a day of 4 units each. He gets a glucose monitoring test almost every month till the vet can get the insulin to the correct dosage.

Ruffus is a laid back kitty. He enjoys sitting on the window ledge a watching the birds and squirrels playing outside my apartment. I have to buy him special food because of his condition. He likes sleeping inside theboxspring of my bed, and hides there also. He really likes to annoy me when I get my notebook out to enter something in it. He sits right on the notebook.

Ruffus plays with a special furry ball and a padded fish which is connected to a string. He enjoys sitting on his round cardboard toy and trying to dig his claws into the cardboard and unravel it. This is fun to watch. He really likes to sleep inside the bottom of my box springs and also hides there when it is time for his injection. i shut the bedroom door while he eats so he cant hide

Ruffus is a diabetic feline. He has been like this for almost seven months now. His Dr. takes really good care of him. She has given me a lot of help and information about his condition and how to give the injections and taking care of him.

I am disabled and am on SSI. The expenses of the tests, insulin, and food is more than I can afford. My folks have helped me,but no longer can.I can't afford to fix my car to get a part time job to have funds for his treatments , med's and food. I'd be grateful for help
