About this campaign
We adopted Ruger from a local shelter when he was just a puppy, and since then he's become irreplaceable in our hearts. He has a large backyard where he loves to play fetch and cuddle with his girls. Ruger is surrounded by a loving family, including two adults and three children, who adore him. He gets along well with everyone and is especially protective and gentle with the kids.
Ruger has a foreign body lodged in his stomach and esophagus, and he needs urgent surgery to survive. This was found after he didn't eat or drink for 2 days and become extremely lethargic. It's now been 4 days and 3 trips to the emergency vet that drained our bank. We are being seen at Dix Animal Hospital in Lincoln Park, Michigan.
Ruger is more than just a pet to us; he’s family. He’s been with us through thick and thin, always offering unconditional love and joy. Ruger has a way of making every day brighter, whether he's chasing chasing us with his ball in the yard for us to throw it, greeting us with his joyful bark when we come home, or curling up beside us during tough times. Ruger is beyond irreplaceable by our family.
With Christmas approaching and 3 little girls to provide for, 3 visits to the emergency vet, countless xrays and medication to try to avoid surgery we've exhausted any extra funds we had. We want to ensure he gets every opportunity to continue being an incredible part of us
