Ruger is a 2-year-old Dalmadoodle in Walnut Ridge, AR, who needs $1,500 for Exploratory Surgery.

We went to a family gathering one night and were asked if we wanted a puppy. The family had 2 different litters they needed to home. We did NOT want a puppy lol. The adorable pups were all wondering around. All of a sudden the cutest and sweetest little fluff ball came up to us. We picked him up to love on him and immediately our hearts were stolen. Needless to say he went home with us that night.

Ruger sleeps in mom and dads room. Right next to our bed. He LOVES playing in water. Probably his most favorite thing to do. And being outside. He likes to explore so walks are very interesting. He also really enjoys his treats. He will shake both paws, sit pretty, and lay down for a treat. He is the sweetest soul.

Ruger loves everyone. His favorite people are his family. He waits impatiently each day for "his kids" to get off the school bus. He loves attention. He'll shove his head under your hand or arm when he wants you to love on him. Or he'll just sit in your lap. He thinks he is tiny. Our poor guy is terrified of thunder. He will hide out in the bath tub during a storm. Favorite toys are ropes & balls.

Ruger suddenly became very ill. We took him to Gateway Animal Clinic here in Walnut Ridge. After tests and xrays we found he needs an exploratory surgery. He has a large object in his stomach. It could be a mass or a foreign object he could have eaten that is stuck and unable to pass. He needs hospitalization, IV, and surgery immediately. Without it, we will lose our boy. This is his only chance.

Ruger's a member of our family. Our hearts are broken right now. He has been here and helped us through some of our hardest times. We have exhausted every source we have to try to pay for his medical needs. We need a miracle for our boy! We need him here with us.
