Ruger is a 1-year-old Beagle in Walton, KY, who needs $2,000 for Surgery Repair and FHO.

A friend of ours had a litter of beagle puppies and our son bought a beagle. He lived in our basement and his new puppy would play with our beagle and we would watch him when my son was not home.

Ruger was a star member in our home. Obviously excited about the fact he was a puppy, he was very loving and playful with our dog Hercules. They bonded from the beginning. He always wanted to snuggle when it was time to lay down too. And would not stop staring at you when he wanted to lay with you.

Ruger has a buddy/house brother named Hercules. They are somewhat inseparable. Ruger loves to instigate playing with Hercules. Ruĝer has a very puppy like point if view if the eirld so everything he did, was with a very innocent approach. He didn't seem to know when to not lick something or someone. He didn't seem to know some things like "oh that was your lunch I just ate?"

Ruger went out for a potty break and both dogs were running after eschother and took off out of the yard. Hercules returned, Ruger did not. We searched and searched and took to social media and the lost dog sites. He was found 2 days later by a good Samaritan. He laid in a drainage ditch for 2 days because we believe he was ran over by a car and could not get out due to the extensive injuries.

Once found, we discovered Ruger could not walk. Xrays showed extensive injury to his pelvis and hips and a broken leg. He was transferred to OSU and after all is said and done his vet bill will be $10,000 to $12,000. We are trying to raise funds to help pay for it.
