My service dog needs your help... PLEASE!!!

I am a soon to be a 71 year old preop Transexual living on social Security and food stamps. I am a Vietnam era Air force veteran where I did two tours in southeast Asia. I suffer from Bipolar disorder and depression.

Rupert is my certified emotional support animal and my constant companion for the past seven years. He was recently bitten by something in the grass at the apartment complex where we live. It caused a mass to form, so I took him to his vet who tried him on a couple of different antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs which did little. They then (after several hundred dollars in bills and medicines) referred him to the specialist that he saw today.

The specialist he saw says that he needs surgery in order to remove the mass that has formed and prevent him from the loss of his leg and possibly his life. I have attached a copy of the surgery estimate and a picture of his leg. The bill for the trip to the specialist for the opinion has left me totally bereft of funds. The money raised will be used to pay the surgeon and save my dog's life.

Rupert is my reason for being alive today! He has on multiple occasions been responsible for my not taking my own life through his love and my worrying about what would happen to him if I did kill myself. Prior to Rupert coming into my life, I had over a dozen hospitalizations for suicide attempts. Since we have been together not a single solitary one.

Please Please Please I beg beg beg of you to help my little buddy... Any amount at all will be greatly appreciated!!! If you can't give I understand but PLEASE at least share this post on your social media and help get word about the need out there...
