Rusty is a 6 year old American Shorthair in Delaware, OH, who needs $2,000 for Oral Surgery to Fix and Heal Severe Trauma.

We are newlyweds and got Rustyb in our anniversary. He loves such a sweet cozy life at home, getting loads of pets from his parents, and even more cuz he just won't stop begging for lovins'.

Rusty experienced oral trauma that caused him to go septic and anemic, and we in his death bed. He received the best care, and is recovering, but needs oral surgery to fix the damages done. Doctors and our very have said he'd recover well after the next surgery.

Rusty is the sweetest lil guy — he wants all the pets, and none of the cat toys (even the fancy catnip toys!), and everyone's hearts. He has a hint of dog in him, but more importantly his heart is so big. He never stops loving a person. We named Rusty after an orange cat in a fantasy series, where the main character went from an underdog to the hero. He's been that to us :)

Our pet insurance didn't kick in until the day AFTER the incident (I know, unfortunate timing), and will not count for coverage. We want to keep our buddy, as we are newlyweds and got him on our anniversary as a gift and new addition to the family. Please help!!!
