About this campaign

Rusty came into my life when he was 9 months old. His previous parents shared a mutual friend with me. Their new dog did not get along with "Scooby" (Rusty's previous name). It was love at first sight for me. We have been inseparable ever since.

Rusty is a tough survivor with a giant heart. In September of 2023, he was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome. It was a terrifying time, but we fought it together. Recently, Rusty was diagnosed with a malignant thyroid tumor that cannot be removed with surgery. While the diagnosis is serious, his history proves he is a fighter. He requires immediate radiation and chemotherapy at CASE in Boulder.

Rusty has a heart of gold. His demeanor is as friendly as his brown-red fur is soft. His "Uncle Tim" describes him as a "magical, healing dog," and his Grandma insists he is a "real-live angel with four paws and invisible wings." Everyone who meets him falls in love instantly, but to me, he is much more than a pet. Rusty has been my psychological support companion for C-PTSD.

Rusty has saved me in so many ways; I am desperate to save him now. However, I lost my job in November of 2025 and I have not yet secured new employment. Because of this lack of income, I cannot I cannot cover the cost of this life-saving treatment on my own.
