Rusty is a 12 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Whiting, IN, who needs $2,000 for Partial Amputation of the Tail & 4 Mass Removal.

Rusty was found close to death in an abandoned house by my neighbors friend and he couldn’t take the dog back to Texas so he gave him to her son. I took him from them because her husband didn’t want him and he came back and has been living with me since. He has been happy and healthy and just recently became ill with a ball on his tail.

I took him to the vet due to a ball on his tail and four more small balls on different parts of his body. A biopsy was performed and the results were positive for cancer but it was said that they could be removed and treated and he should be fine afterwards.

Rusty has been a part of my family since I first met him and he is like my baby boy. He was sleeping in my bed before he became sick. I’m elderly and he has kept me company after I lost my husband and I don’t know what I will do if I can’t prevent him from suffering if this is untreated and continues to spread to watch him suffer would be devastating for me.

Because I am a senior I’m on a fixed income and only received a check once a month and I have no pension. I have to pay my bills every month which leaves me very little for other expenses.
