About this campaign

Ryder came into our lives as a 3 week old foster who needed to be bottle fed as his mother’s milk was dried up. He quickly was loved by myself and my 4 children so he stayed with us in his forever home. He lives with his family of 4 children and his mommy(which is me). Ryder provides great emotional support to all of us as we have been through a lot as a family. Ryder brings us all great joy!

Ryder is a wonderful dog that brings joy to our home daily since he was 3 weeks old. My children treat him like a brother and he is my best friend. You can always find him sitting on his spot on the sofa or at night time at the bottom of my bed. My four children treat him as if he is their sibling!

Ryder is a protector of our family and is greatly loved by his family. He loves to chase birds and rabbits out of our fenced in yard as well as play frisbee and catch with us! He also loves to lay in the sun and sun bath! He makes himself very comfortable at the bottom of my bed or on the sofa! He loves all the commotion of a houseful of children and always has a playmate!

Starting back in June 2022 I noticed that my dog started to experience some diarrhea as well as weight loss.. I took him To our local veterinary clinic where he has been seen just for vaccinations /wellness visits over the years. We were told to take him to a full-service vet to get an abdominal ultrasound and x-rays. He was diagnosed with chronic gastritis and we were told that he needs surgery.

It would mean so much to our family for him to get the surgery that is required to make him well again. His prognosis is good. Due to extenuating circumstances we are not able to afford the surgery that is needed. We would be so grateful for your help in getting Ryder well!
