About this campaign
I adopted Ryder from a kill shelter in Texas and they did not treat him for his heartworm condition before adopting him out. They also did not neuter him, which is very unusual for shelters, especially in a large city like Houston.
In a short time that I’ve had Ryder, I’ve really grown to love him. I had open heart surgery last year so his companionship means the world to me. He loves my son and visits to the park.
Ryder thinks that he can catch birds so he loves birdwatching following jumping almost trying to fly to catch the birds. It’s so funny. He really enjoys visits and walks to the park and playing with a deflated football.
A few weeks after adoption I brought Ryder to our local veterinarian and they discovered that he is full of Heartworms and he had kennel cough at the time which they treated him for, and he also needed some vaccinations which has already been completed the process of eliminating the heartworm from his body, is a lengthy one, requiring several visits and stays at the hospital and much medication
I had open heart surgery last year which caused me to be out of work for several months so I got behind on my bills and I’m paying my credit cards. This is why I do not have credit to pay for the veterinary bills at this time.
