FINAL UPDATE ON RYE 🐾

Thankfully, XRY has confirmed that Rye did not suffer any broken bones after being hit by a car. He successfully underwent surgery to close his wounds and has made a full recovery.

Rye is now thriving in his foster home—running, playing, and having a blast with his canine friends. All that’s left is for his forever family to find him. 💙

Thank you to everyone who supported Rye on his journey. His happy ending is so close!

For quite some time, Rye had been a familiar sight in the neighborhood—searching for food, shelter, and a safe place to rest after his owner moved away and left him behind. Life as a stray is never easy, but recently, Rye’s situation turned critical. He was hit by a car, suffering a severe injury to his leg that left muscle, tissue, and bone exposed. Fearing it might be broken, a kind-hearted neighbor took him to the vet. The exam confirmed just how serious his injury is. But with no owner and no one in the neighborhood able to accept financial responsibility, Rye’s future became frighteningly uncertain. The vet clinic reached out to us for help. But here’s the reality—every shelter we partner with is full, and we don’t have an available foster. Even receiving rescues have no space for

If we say yes, your donations will cover Rye’s X-rays, pain medication, surgery, basic vetting, and a safe place to heal while we search for somewhere permanent for him. His future depends on our decision, and our decision depends on you.

We’ve given this handsome boy a name. Now, will you give him a chance?

Be part of the team that turns Rye’s story from uncertainty and pain to healing and hope.

4/10/26 Update

After everything he’s been through, Rye’s story is finally turning the corner we’ve all been hoping for. Thankfully, X-rays confirmed that Rye did not suffer any broken bones after being hit by a car. He underwent surgery to close his wounds, healed beautifully, and made a full recovery. What once looked like a devastating injury is now just a memory — and Rye is thriving.

Over the past eight months in foster care, Rye has truly blossomed. He’s running, playing, and having a blast with his canine friends. The scared, injured stray who was left behind is now a happy, resilient boy who loves life and is ready for his forever home.

And here’s the exciting news… Rye has a meet-and-greet scheduled for April 24! 🎉 After eight long months of waiting, he finally has a potential adopter who wants to meet him.

This moment wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support from everyone who donated, shared, and believed in Rye. Because of you, he received the urgent medical care he needed and the time in foster to heal both physically and emotionally.

From being abandoned… to surviving a traumatic accident… to healing and now possibly finding his forever family — Rye’s journey is a testament to what compassion can do.

Thank you for being part of Rye’s story. His happy ending is so close, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter.
