About this campaign

On a warm fall day almost 13 years ago this beautiful girl came into my life. I broke down when I walked into the shelter & saw her little body cowering. She was so skinny & so scared. I knelt down & started talking to her & slowly she looked up at me with the kindest eyes I had ever seen, little tail started wagging. From that moment on she became my best friend and my world.

Rylie is a friend to all. She has made such a wonderful impact on other dogs I have rescued and fostered over the years by acting as a friend, mom and mentor. Her personality is truly wonderful and because of her incredible temperament she has even helped care for other animals like litters of kittens and bunnies. She is very bonded with my mother who has health concerns & stays by her side.

The leg amputation was a $2500 procedure and I am one person trying to finance this by myself with no other means of financial help or support. She needs to start chemo IMMEDIATELY to save her life but she cannot begin until the leg surgery has been paid off.

Rylie was recently diagnosed with bone cancer and her back hind leg amputated as the tumor was located on her femur. Her health otherwise is outstanding and my vet recommended chemo after the amputation as there is a very good chance it would extend her life by possibly years since she's in such great shape already.

This dog is honestly everything to me. I can't say enough about how amazing her personality is. She is truly the sweetest canine I have ever known. She has been by my side through the hardest times in my life and when I lost everything I always had my Rylie. My favorite funny Rylie moment is when she lays on her back, legs in the air behind anyone doing dishes waiting for a belly rub.
