It all started in 2022 when I received the best 3Ps (Precious, Protective, Phenomenal) of a gift a girl could ever dream of. I didn’t choose her she chose me. I thought I was nurturing a premature puppy back to health but the whole time she was nurturing me. We’ve had such a journey moving from state to state and finally finding a place to call home living in Blue Springs, Mo.

Last night on our daily hikes Sadi was attacked by a wild animal protecting me. She did her very best to ensure my safety and still survived. She chased off this vicious predator and drew it away from me so I can make it out safely. By protecting me she sacrificed her right eye and her tail. I rushed her to the nearest emergency vet Crown Veterinary Services in Lee’s Summit, Mo.

We’re so inseparable I’m not sure if she gets her character from me or if I get my character from her. No matter the person or pet she encounters she adopts you as her own. She loves naps and will lay on anything but the floor. She gets the most excited about car rides going bye-bye no matter the distance but we found out her new favorite thing to do is the adventures we have hiking the trails.

I’ve been unemployed since November 2025 so I’ve been on an extremely tight income. Not working and doing what I love took a toll on me and she noticed, she stayed right by my side for all of the tears and dark days. She helps me remember that there’s so much more to life
