About this campaign

Sadie is an incredibly sweet cat who came into our lives after being found at a rural gas station when she was about the size of a potato. Her mom was unable to be found and she was getting beaten up by older strays in the area. Since coming into our family, she shares an apartment with four other cats, a pitbull who loves all his kitties, and a turtle I have had since I was four years old.

Around Thanksgiving 2024, we noticed a bump that was located on her muzzle that seemed to be slowly growing. After many tests, we have been told it is a mesenchymal tumor (sarcoma). Due to the nature of this we have been referred to an going to the University of Illinois Teaching Hospital in Champaign IL where they have a cancer care clinic. We are looking to have radiation therapy to help her.

Sadie is a sweet girl who loves watching the birds outside from out back porch window with her siblings. And loves drinking from the tap since she was a young kitten, often asking for "water time" with sweet chirps. She also loves to drum on surfaces by paddling her front paws, and we love her music. She loves cuddling with her favorite humans, and enjoys the company of our other pets.

This diagnosis was very unexpected, as she is otherwise a healthy girl. Her treatments will be expensive in nature, but we want to help keep her happy and healthy as long as we can. We love our Sadie baby and we want to help her fight this so she can keep loving life.
