About this campaign
I rescued Sadie from a home that had an autistic child that moved in. The child loved too hard. The family was going to have her put to sleep. I told them that if they could not find a home for her I would take her. I already had 3 dogs at the time. My Irish Red and White Setter, the Mincher Pincher and Chihuahua, so thought what is one more.
All four of my dogs sleep on the bed with me. The tiny dogs on the pillows and the two larger dogs at the foot. Sadie is the herder of the smaller dogs. and she is the protector of the front yard. She does not miss a leaf or squirrel. I am a single person. She is my snuggler. When I am feeling sick she has to be right by my side.
I am in-between jobs at the moment due to covid shut down. I am getting unemployment. If I can't find funding I will have to have her put to sleep. I have no other options.
Sadie jumped the fence in the back yard and started to run across the street and was struck by a car. It rolled over her right front pay, breaking both bones and has severe road rash. She is currently spending the night at Highline Veterinary Hospital. Her primary veterinarian is Dr. Jackson. She is stable at the moment. I don't know the surgeon yet.
I am her favorite two legged pack member. She thinks she is a cat. She likes to sleep on the back of the chair in the living room. If I sneeze she has to inspect every inch of my face. I think to make sure it is still there. She likes to lay down on the smaller dogs so they have to move away from me.
