Sadie is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Grand Rapids, , who needs $1,500 for Xray and MRI scan.

I rescued Sadie after she was abandoned near the Detroit airport, weak and emaciated after giving birth. She’d clearly suffered abuse and was terrified of everything. She still struggles feeling safe around loud noises or new situations but she is truly my best friend—gentle, brilliant, and SO full of love. We are currently living together with my fiancé in Grand Rapids MI.

Sadie is being treated by Wholehearted Veterinary Clinic for a painful, unknown spinal condition. We can’t yet afford the diagnostic tests to find the cause, but she’s clearly hurting more and more every day. She’s on pain meds for now, but she may need surgery down the line. She’s fought so hard already—we just want to give her the care she deserves.

Sadie is hands down the most intelligent and driven dog I have ever met. She loves playing with her balls and learning new commands but her real passion is finding a comfy place on mom or dad’s lap. She LOVES to cuddle and sleeps in bed every night with us. Her favorite spot is in the middle of us both and prefers to be completely burrowed in her blankie.

My fiancé and I are both in our early 20s having recently graduated college with immense student loan debt. We both have full-time careers, but have just enough money each month to pay our bills. We do not have savings or additional income to help with diagnostic testing.
