About this campaign
I brought Sadie home 3 and a half years ago. She was posted on Facebook as free to a good home. From what I was told she had been abused in her past and I would be her 5th home in just one short year. I drive 10 hours round trip to bring this skinny, sad girl home. To say she’s been my constant companion since would be an understatement.
Sadie has 3 animal siblings. Shiner and Forest, both also Boykin Spaniels and a lab Jenny. Sadie goes everywhere with us. She was in my semi and now anytime we leave she goes with. She lives for car rides and goose hunting in the fall and early winter. She loves her fur siblings and her humans. She is a sweetheat
Sadie can constantly found laying on my lap. Or touching me in some way. She absolutely loves to go goose hunting. As soon as she she’s camo she’s ready to go. When hunting, she will not only go after the birds, but she retrieves shotgun shells and even finds the wads out of them. She loves swimming and boat rides. She loves the snow and bathtime.
About 2 weeks ago now, out of the blue, she started attacking her furbrother Forest. So we scheduled her with Dr. Kaufman at Heather Ridge Vet Hospital, who has taken care of her since she came home. Dr. Kaufman is stumped. . Because of the sudden change in her temperament, it is feared that something is going on in her brain. She is recommending an MRI, which isn’t available here.
I broke my back 2 years ago, forcing me to go on disability. With monthly expenses an MRI is just not in my budget. I’m devastated that I can’t get the care Sadie needs
