Sadie Mae was born to a rescue pup I took in. That was 8 1/2 years ago. I found good homes for the others but Sadie Mae wasn't having it. Grieving & refusing food, both families returned her. She's been with me through some serious illness & even sleeping on sofa's since my divorce. She's definitely my "ride or die" companion, my best friend. I couldn't imagine how special our bond would become.

Yesterday she managed to slip out the door. I looked for her with no luck. Finally an hour later, she returned, dragging herself to me. Only an Angel could have gotten her home. Her back right leg is broken, dangling. She actually had a tire mark on her.
I'm putting my trust in Memorial Drive Veterinary Clinic, Griffin GA & God, to save her leg. We'll accept whatever we're blessed with.

No stranger to rescue/personal pets before Sadie Mae, our bond amazes me . She's my fur baby. My child. She's never met a stranger & loves all. I'm heart broken that she's in pain & not her self. As I'm carrying her around, I'm reminded how she takes care of me. She alerts me to critical highs & lows before my Blood Glucose sensor, all the time. Her love & affection is irreplaceable she saves me.

How we got here... Divorce, blood cancer diagnosis, heart surgery & alone on a fixed income sums it up. I left my home w/ overnight bag & Sadie Mae. It's's been difficult. Not having funds for Sadie Mae's injury tears my heart apart & is the worst yet. We need one another.
