About this campaign
We adopted baby Sadie in November of 2014 from a farm in Elizabethtown, KY. Since then she has lived with us in our home in Mason, OH along with her border collie sister Zoe and her kitty brother Loki. She is a blue merle, Australian Shepherd and one of the cutest, most loving dogs you have ever met. On 7/1 she was diagnosed with Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) a blood autoimmune disorder.
Sadie Bug is always the first animal we see when we get home. She is the sweetest puppy. All she wants from you is pets constantly (and maybe a yummy treat here and there). She always wants cuddles and human attention at all times. She almost always ignores other animals (except she loves annoying her big sister)and is a people pleaser.
This was a very unexpected diagnosis that we were unprepared for. As a young couple who got just got engaged and are in the middle of planning a wedding this came out of no where. Sadie means the world to us and we cannot see our home without her.
For the past week or so we starting noticing something was off with Sadie. She wasn't her normal happy self and started refusing treats. She started having bad diarrhea so we put her on a bland diet to see if that would do the trick, but she was slowly deteriorating. On Thursday 7/1 we rushed her to Care Center Cincinnati to be treated by Dr. Marlo Perich where she was diagnosed with ITP.
She is the goofiest dog in the world! She likes to spend most of her time on her back like a little pill bug. She wiggles on her back and just smiles at you. Her favorite treat is whipped cream! Anytime we make hot chocolate she knows it and immediately comes running to the kitchen for a treat. Just seeing that little stubby tail wag is unforgettable.
