About this campaign

I rescued Sadie 10 years ago from a shelter. She is a tab lab mix that loves life and everyone she meets. It was a sad time in my life and we helped one another through school, work, covid, and relationships.

Sadie became sick 2 weeks ago, first refusing to eat and then having trouble breathing. I have been force feeding her and giving her medication, but nothing has helped so far. She already lost almost a fifth of her body weight and developed a limp. The vet says that more information is needed, including blood test and imaging to identify how to treat her .

Sadie has been happy for the decade that she had been in my life She is curious and always wants to say hi to everyone she meets. She naps when she is bored, but would rather be outside, especially at a park or around people. This is a little different from me, and so has helped me be more social and I am thankful for that.

I have already spent over $1000 on vet bills but diagnostics are expected to cost at least 4x that much, not counting treatment. She is worth every penny and can live for many more years of this is treated. However, I am unable to afford this and have been losing sleep.
