Sadie is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in Tampa, FL, who needs $2,200 for Enucleation of Both Eyes.

I adopted Sadie from the humane society of Tampa about 8 years ago. She had just had a litter of puppies. Someone kept the puppies but dropped her off. She was in the corner of the cage not acting like she wanted to be adopted. I had just lost my angel, and somehow I knew she was just what I needed and I was just what she needed. It was ment to be.

I'm seeking help to get both of her eyes removed. I don't want this but I went to an optometrist who said she needs it. They gave me a quote of $5294 to $6925. I've reached out to the humane society of Tampa and they said they could do it for around $2200. They also said that they looked at her medical records and that the optometrist recommendation is needed. I have an appointment August 13.

Sadie is a very loving and caring dog, both with people and animals. She has been there with me through my 6 years of cancer journey. She's been by my side throughout the ups and downs of it all. I maxed out care credit on my medical bills or I would use that to pay for it myself. I'm currently in treatment so it makes it hard to work. I've borrowed from family, friends and church friends

Sadie is older but in relatively good health other than her eyes. She has been blind for years so it's not going to be hard for her to get used to it. She still has several years left in her if she has this surgery. I need her. She's my support
