About this campaign

I rescued Sadie about 4 years ago after my neighbors witnessed her being thrown out of a moving vehicle in an industrial area when she was about 3 months old. I took her in, only to discover she had Parvovirus, which required a week hospitalization or she might die. At the time I was more financially secure, and I was able to pay the $7,000 to get her the help she needed. And she pulled through like a champ! Since then she’s been the most rewarding thing in my life, and I’ve developed a great sense of purpose in my life knowing that she needs me to take care of her. When she developed a mast cell tumor the first time last year, I had it surgically removed with great success. No signs of cancer! However she’s developed another one and I’m not in the financial position this time to afford it. I feel as if I’m failing her for the first time, and am doing whatever I can to try and make things right while the tumor is still small and able to be removed before it spreads, so that she can be cancer-free and live a long life!
