Help Be The Hope Sage Needs

Just days ago, 2 year-old Sage arrived at Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge completely paralyzed in her hind end. Immediately, she was rushed into emergency spinal surgery for her only chance to walk again.

Lucky for the team, there was hope!

Sage’s medical team began seeing feeling return to her legs and by the end of the day, she stood up. After such a terrifying start, this moment feels enormous. While her doctors are cautiously optimistic, Sage still faces a long recovery filled with crate rest, rehabilitation, and hands-on care.

She currently needs help expressing her bladder and will require a dedicated foster home where she can safely heal. Recovery from spinal injuries takes patience, time, and significant medical support, but Sage is already showing everyone how hard she is willing to fight.

Emergency surgery and ongoing recovery care come at an overwhelming cost, and we urgently need donations to continue giving Sage every possible chance at a full life again.
