Sailor is a 5-month-old German Shepherd in Hemet, CA, who needs $2,000 for possible amputation of the right hind leg.

I adopted Sailor when she was 7 weeks old in August and she's 5 months old now so I've only had her for a short time. Her long name is Sailor Africa Griffin. I named her that because one I'm a United States Navy Sailor who was active for 8 years and got out to finish school and join the reserves for extra money while I'm in school. 2. Africa because when I think of German Shepherds I think about how big they are and since Africa is the second largest continent in the world I thought it was fitting. and 3. Blake Griffin is my favorite power forward basketball player. When I got her all she wanted to do is be under me and my 5 year old German Shepherd which was great because I got her as a playmate for him. I just had to get him on the same page. Once she started prancing around the house trying to sneak in my room I knew she was going to be trouble( the fun kind) from the start. Before all this started I taught her how to play tug of war and actually got it on video with her playing with Kobie Bear which is my 5 year old German Shepherd.
