Sake is a 11 year old Chihuahua in Portland, OR, who needs $4,000 for Oral Surgery Major Extraction.

I got Sake from a rescue shelter around 8 years ago when i just moved out of the house. She was very malnourished at the time and had really bad teeth. Ive been trying to manage them but have been living paycheck to paycheck and have not had the money to get them taken care of the way they needed to be.

Recently Sake had an abscess on her mouth that the ER gave me antibiotics to treat, but they stressed she needed immediate dental care in order to resolve. I called all over and Premier Pet Dentistry was the only place with availability within the month. In addition to most of her teeth needing to be removed, they also found other medical issues needing attention.

Sake had a very rough time before I adopted her. She was very skinny with patchy fur and clearly traumatized by whatever happened before she got rescued. She has become the sweetest house dog ever and we have gotten eachother through some very rough periods. I have only recently found a secure housing situation for the first time in my life but this is now threatened by this situation.

I work full time as a bartender but my job just barely covers my living expenses. The surgery and tests she needs imminently are estimated to be around 4-5k and there will probably be more expenses once they figure out what is causing her other medical issues.
